Spano and Murtagh Win Mayoral Primaries
Official results—the Board of Elections has finally
completed its tally of the Primary last Tuesday. With 100% of the voted counted—-
Mayor: Democratic Primary:
Mike Spano-52%-3,784
Chuck Lesnick-39%-2,783
Bob Flower-9%-651
Mayor: Republican Primary:
John Murtagh-45%-2,163
Richard Martinelli-31%-1,507
Carlo Cavli-24%-1,1,40
Democrats: Make Mike Mayor!
This was the cheer at Spano campaign headquarters on primary night as Mike Spano won the Democratic Primary for Mayor. Spano (52 percent) defeated Council President Chuck Lesnick (39 percent) and Bob Flower (nine percent).
“To the Democratic voters and the people of Yonkers, I’m deeply humbled and say thank you,” said Spano. “I’ve never seen a campaign where so many people came together for a better future.”
“We said from the beginning that we were going to change the debate and run a positive campaign about how we can change this city,” continued Spano, who thanked Lesnick and Flower for a fair contest.
Spano, who will now face off against republican John Murtagh in November, said that his two priority issues remain fiscal stability and education: “It’s time to replace the years of drama with long term planning and come together in partnership for a better community.”
“We can no longer have another September where our parents don’t know if there child will have a desk in pre-k, or whether they will have transportation to school, or whether there will be enough teachers. It’s time to provide stability to avoid layoffs,” said Spano, who also called for safer streets and relief to the taxpayers. “This is our opportunity. The challenges are enormous but so is our determination. It’s time to get Yonkers back on the right track.”
The Spano headquarters included supporters from the Democratic Party and city unions. While Lesnick would not concede in the days after the primary waiting for every vote to be counted, he did say on primary night, “This race was about education. We had grass roots support. Regardless of the outcome, I’m going to make sure that Yonkers has a first class education and clean our fiscal house.” Lesnick, who has the Working Families Party line for Mayor in November, said he would support the Democratic party’s nomnee
Murtagh Wins Big in GOP Primary
Republican City Councilman and Minority Leader John Murtagh won a decisive Republican Primary for Mayor on Tuesday, receiving 45 percent of the vote. Former Council President Richard Martinelli was second with 32 percnet and former Councilman Carlo Calvi came in third with 24 percent.
“It’s humbling to be honored by the people of Yonkers who have voted for me,” said Murtagh, who congratulated Martinelli and Calvi on a hard fought race and urged all Republicans to come together. “The message is clear; the people want safe streets, great schools and an affordable place to live, and that’s what we will turn Yonkers into.
“I congratulate Mr. Spano on his victory, but the choice could not be clearer for the residents of Yonkers. It’s a choice of whether the city will move back to the politics of the past 50 years, or whether the city will move forward. If you want to know what the candidates will do as Mayor, look at what they have already done. It’s time for honest and transparent government.”
“I make one promise — when John Murtagh is elected, there will only be one Murtagh on the City of Yonkers payroll. The people are tired of the same leadership and are ready to move forward,” said Murtagh to a packed crowd of supporters, including former Councilwoman Dee Barbato and Mike Breen, winner of the GOP Primary for the Fifth District Council seat, formerly held by Murtagh.
Martinelli conceded Tuesday night and congratulated Murtagh: “It’s not in the cards. Yonkers continues to face serious challenges ahead and I will continue to speak out for the taxpayers.”
Martinelli also ran in a Conservative Primary for Mayor. He had the endorsement of the Conservative Party but write in candidates, including Mike Spano, are making the outcome uncertain. Martinelli said he would, “wait to see what happens with the Conservative Primary and make a decision then.” Martinelli will likely face pressure from Republicans to get out of the race and support Murtagh.
“We ran a positive campaign, but it got negative in the end, with both of my opponents throwing mud at me, and sometimes it sticks. In a three-way race, you never know what’s going to happen.”
It is believed that the third candidate in the race, Calvi, took votes away from Martinelli. “I think he did a good job as a spoiler.”

It’s the old choice between a -D and an F. Consider:
How big would Murtagh have actually won if Calvi wasn’t in the race as a spoiler?
What kind of Democrat is this empty suited little brother of Nick Spano? “Blood is thicker than water!” Lesnick lost by
default; six years of letting Phil Amicone and Company crap on, and steal from the taxpayers and children of
Yonkers, never once opening his mouth about anything while sitting as President of the City Council no less.
Martinelli is certain to have lost the Conservative primary on a “write in”
That’s unprecedented, unheard of in modern political history.
It’s testament to the political stupidity of Restiano, Spencer , Spring & McLaughlin
The line will go to either Calvi or Spano. Thet will be known on 9/21 or 9/22 when the actual ballots containg the names which were written in are examined.
In any event, Murtagh, who received less than a majority on the Rep line will recieve a wopping 0.0 % on the conservative line. And he’s proclaimed himself the true conservative in the race.
Political stupidity abounds everywhere.
Oh lord isn’t there anyone in this city to run except this same old tired bunch of losers, not one of them has a fresh idea
Oh please — Murtagh running a positive campaign??!!!! It was about as negative, nasty and revolting as many of his verbal slings and arrows while serving on the city council. Why should he have acted any differently? A truly evil man.
Murtagh was outspent by both his opponents, who used their own funds to attack him, including Martinelli, who owns a printing company — a tremendous resource for any candidate.
Yet Murtagh won a huge victory by reminding Republican voters that Martinelli was the ultimate hypocrite: using city cars and gas for years, then campaigning against it — and using his interstate magazine publishing empire to promote the gay lifestyle, while campaigning against it.
That ain’t negative or nasty. That’s just the facts.
Murtagh is not nasty; people simply do not like hearing the truth. The comment he made election night was allegorical for the combined fifty years that the Spanos have been in power. It simply is time for the Spano dictatorship to go.
If you added up all the years the Spano’s, Martinelli’s and Calvi have held office, it would approach 100 years.
Don’t you think its time they were all swept away?
Especially since they are all RELATED to each other?
How can you sugar coat this and make it sugary sweet? Tough and direct is the only way. Both Calvi and Martinelli would do the same thing if the situation were reversed.
Mike has to ask Nick.
Nasty is electing a Mayor so his corrupt brother can turn City Hall into their family’s employment agency — in case there is a third cousin somewhere, not yet on a government payroll.
Nasty is breaking up someone’s marriage, leaving children with a broken home, then living in sin for 20 years, then denying someone else your party’s nomination because you say he’s not a good Christian.
Nasty is running an anti-gay campaign for mayor, only to have people learn that your vaunted businessman skills include a publishing empire that promotes the gay lifestyle.
Murtagh calls it like it is. And that scares the crap out of these hacks.
wow I agree with Truman. I’d have to vote for Murtagh by default because Phakes Fonies and Phrauds makes some good points too. The NYT editorial about Murtagh from 2005 I think is persuasive.
Some smart people on this blog. I wish it were mre current.
Phakes Fonies and O’Brien are nasty cruel and mean. That is no way to run an election or a city. If this is a preview of the Murtagh style in office…. Brooklyn BS has no place in Westchester.
“Stay home” sure sounds like a sore loser. And a complete candyass.
There is nothing wrong with a good down in the trenches Good versus Evil fight for Mayor. That is what this is and Yonkers needs it.
Lesnick does not have the WFP Line.
Murtagh raised taxes 80 % in his time running yonkers. he vote for every union contract – never said a word then. he also has no respect and a terrible attitude likes hes better than everyone. He never listens to people at meetings (if hes there) and he even got schooled by a 10 yr old lil girl at a public hearing nfor not paying attention. Mike is going to crush this guy. Dems will vote hard for him and 50% of republicans will vote for him as well. We had that terrible attitude in city hall for some time now – it doesnt work. Mike will bring the honest leadership with a nice approach to bring people together and get this city moving again.
Wait a second — Its Time used the words “honest” in the same sentence as Mike Spano.
Are you insane?
Everyone keeps forgetting that Mike Spano is really a shill or placeholder for Nick Spano. He is the real power in the family and will be the defacto Mayor of Yonkers. The Vinnie Leibell of Westchester will be running our city doling out patronage like he has being doing for decades, giving the unions what they want, and authorizing sweetheart deals to developers and contractors who are friends of his.
With Mike as Mayor and Vinnie Spano in the City Clerks office, as well as the vast Spano family spread out in many city departments, Nick Spano will have a strangle hold on the operation of the City of Yonkers.
At least until the hoped for indictments from the Feds show up.
In the interim Nick will siphon off as much money as he can and do what he has done so well for over 20 years. Be the political Boss.
Those of you who complained about Phil Amicone and John Spencer and the friends and family club, aint seen nothing yet.
I do not care how “nice” Mike Spano is. We do not need “nice.” We need tough and honest. If that means making certain special interests angry, so be it. Its time and it has to be done.
You want nice, cute and cuddly, play with your teddy bear. You want results, Murtagh is the guy.
Nick and Johnny’s strategy is going just according to plan. The Spano’s will win the C line on the write-in ballot from their ‘partner,’ the republican Martinelli, while their ‘unsuspecting’ friend, the republican Calvi, keeps the Indy line from the republican Murtagh.
Republicans in Yonkers still don’t get it (lol). Mike will be mayor. Count on it.
The previous poster is right. It will be almost impossible for a republican to defeat Spano with republicans holding the other minor party lines.
Carlo Calvi is the key to either a republican victory in 2011 or seeing the city ruined again by the Spano dynasty.
You guys don’t know Carlo Calvi. He is a principled man. I voted for him. I watched him for years on the City Council challenging and beating back crooks like Spencer when it was needed. I don’t know what Carlo’s relationship is with Murtagh, but I know Calvi to be a loyal Republican who despises Nick and Mike Spano and would do everything he could to guarantee that Yonkers would not be under their corrupt rule. That includes not hurting a fellow republican’s chances against the Spano regime. He would never allowed himself to be played by the Spano’s. I’m sure he will do what’s right for the Republican party and Yonkers. Have faith in Carlo Calvi. I have for years and he has never let either me or the City of Yonkers down. God bless you Carlo.
It’s hard to have faith in someone who is apparently going to single-handedly allow the Spano’s to take over City Hall and ruin my city. Loyal republican? We’ll see, but this republican doesn’t have as much faith in this guy as you do.
I’m tired of all this back and forth about the Calvi situation. He ran a primary. I also voted for him, but he lost. That’s politics. I’ll be voting (and working) for John Murtagh if only to keep the Spano’s from winning. That is my only mission.
I agree with the poster who called Calvi a principled man who would never aid the Spano’s. There is an infererence that Calvi is secretly helping the Spano’s. This is BS. Carlo is a man. He lost like a man. Anyone who believes that he will stay on the Independence line and hurt Murtagh’s campaign against Mike Spano doesn’t know Carlo Calvi. He is a republican first, not like the Mike Spano’s of the world. Lighten up you guys.
So what’s the story? Is Calvi keeping the line? Do you know anything about this Murphy?
Carlo kills bighead Johnny dead!
Also a Calvi fan and supporter. I agree with your analsis on him doing the right thing for the Republican party but after the treacherous campaign Murtagh ran attacking Carlo and his family personally, I think he has too much principle to back out and even give Murtagh a shot. Murtagh has mad his bed and if I were Carlo I wouldn’t even consider dropping out. Forget the party, who wants to be involved with a party that nominates a pompous asshole like Murtagh. I also despise the Spano’s but Murtagh is an EVIL man. Just can’t decide which evil is worse, Mike or John. If Carlo stays on I won’t hold a grudge and will vote for him in the general again.
Once again, it’s a choice between a -D and and F! Think about it folks. There’s not a public servant amongst them. They are all proven self-servants.
Aside from a remark about Carlo popping up every 16 years, I don’t recall any attack that Murtagh made on Calvi. I’m a prime voter, and got a ton of mail from the Republican candidates.
Murtagh hit Martinelli pretty hard — on his use of free city cars and free city gas, and his hypocritcal, two-faced campaign against gay marriage (while his publishing business raked in the cash from promoting gays and their lifestyle in Martinelli’s magazine).
What other attack did Murtagh make against Calvi? It was Martinelli who attacked Carlo and his family, questioning their integrity and harassing them all summer with that ridiculous petition case.
No platforms, no recognition of the needs of the Yonkers community; nothing to be encouraged about. Examine what it’s really all about. Who will win? Who will next raid the public treasury? Not an ounce of public spirit, dedication to clean up the corruption, violence and crime. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THEMSELVES, SOLELY MOTIVATED BY GREED, AND POWER.
How very sad and tragic for those who are trapped in such a cesspool, especially the children.
Truman you are more bitter than Hezi. Murtagh wrote the ethics law, and went after Martinelli over the BS he tried to pull with Ridge Hill, and much more. Sounds like anti-corruption to me. Is he or any politician always sucessful, of course not.
But his actions are quite different from the Nick Spano Machine of patronage and back room dealing in Albany and Yonkers that has gone on for decades. So don’t make broad brush comments about politicians when there are CLEAR differences between Murtagh and the Spano Family Patronage Machine.
Never been a big fan of Murtagh either, but it’s no contest: everyone who loves this City needs to get behind him to stop the Spanos. The very thought of them controlling city government!
I respect Carlo Calvi and have voted for him in the past. But if he stays in this race and takes votes away from the republican nominee, he will forever be remembered as the man who put Nick Spano and his thieving band in City Hall. And his name will be cursed in Yonkers because Yonkers people don’t forget.
Il nome Calvi sarà maledetto per sempre nella nostra città!
what a bunch of haters
I hear cavalo wants to make a deal with spano if that happens SpaNO will lose a lot more than the mayors race.,….
Murtagh stands no chance anyway. Doesn’t matter what Calvi does. Either way this city is sxrewed.
Spencer and co. Have jumped richard’s ship and are now with Spano. If him and his band of merry thieves get in we’re screwed.
Murtagh is the second coming of Amicone. If he gets in we have another 4 years of the disastrous past 8 years we have just experienced.
I don’t blame Calvi for wanting to stay in with these bums and cut them down in a debate. Still voting for him.
Murtagh will beat Spano, but it will be close. Spencer and McLaughlin are encouraging their friends and supporters to vote for Mike, and Amicone is still being a prick to Murtagh, because Murtagh had a mind of his own for the past eight years.
guess what einsteins….the people will decide not the malcontents on here.
Murtagh can still beat spanOOOOOOO if mike is in bed with cavalo it shows how corrupt mike is>….
Zehy Jereis medical bills are paid by the taxpayers through Assemblyman Mike Spano office. Could that be buying his silence? Longfellow Middle School is next door to where Jereis owns property. Did Mike Spano broker the deal for Ridge Hill through Zehy Jereis when he worked for Lynch? Nick Spano’s cohorts Leibell and McGuire went down. When will Preet Bharara indict dumb and dumber?

If you only knew just how much info the Feds have had for more than two years now. One wonders how straight they are shooting, particularly when one begins to calculate statutes of limitations, and recalls some of the real bad guys and gals they have failed to indict. Truth is the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office would be seriously inplicated in some of the more outrageous instances of prosecutorial misconduct; and, what we really need in Westchester is a SPECIAL PROSECUTOR if we are ever going to get the job done, and restore the public’s faith in the judicial systems, both state and federal.
All that crap under Michael Garcia, and his obnoxiously close relationship with DiFiore, her Office, and her husband established a bad pattern, especially following Pirro and MaryJo White.
Mike Spano has taken the conservative write in primary. Carlo Calvi was not nominated for a judgeship and will remain on the Independence line.
Spano beats Murtagh by 20%
Sorry Johnny!
Why did Astrorino hire Hugh Fox ??
Doug Colety has to be most curious.
How bad is Doc Cavallo, and his not so independent Independence Party, having endorsed slime like Jose Alvarado who he knew very well had cheated Sandy in the Democratic Primary two years ago, just as Wilson Terarro cheated Virginia using the same Democratic operatives, under the direction of Ken Jenkins, voting numerous times at polling places like 15 Hamilton where they were assigned, and then voting in their own election districts as well.
Now Jose can wipe his behind with the Independence Party endorsement, because Virginia has reached the constituency and they have responded, and will respond big time in the general election. They are tired of beinjg taken for granted by creatures such as Alvarado. Jenkins knows that, and so do the voters and taxpayers in District 16, and that is why the Republican Party and Colety should be ashamed of themselves for kissing his ass and running nobody against him. Two years from now he won’t be able to get elected DOG CATCHER!
Hugh Fox took the Spencer bait and gave the Conservative endorsement to Richard Martinelli and Steven Cerrato. Spencer was working on behalf of Mike Spano (the enemy of my enemy is my friend), subsequent to a side deal with the Spano’s, to keep the line from Murtagh. Spencer, down on his already bad luck, is planning on getting a load of contract$ from his new friends once Mike is seated in City Haul.
But was Spencer’s work done on Friday when Mike Spano won the Conservative primary on a write-in ballot? Probably not. The real question is: Did Spencer also set up the Independence Party endorsement of Carlo Calvi with Cavallo, subsequent to a side deal with the Spano’s, to take Republican votes from John Murtagh when he won the primary (the primary Martinelli only made it appear as though he was competing in)?
My guess is yes. Spencer’s people still must work to keep Calvi from taking a judgeship nomination before tomorrow (Carlo must be getting plenty of F— Murtagh calls). With Calvi unkowingly being played (rather expertly, I must admit) behind the scenes by the Spencer and Spano machines, Murtagh is in a whole heap of trouble.
The previous poster is right. And there’s no doubt someone talked Calvi into petitioning for the Conservative line, knowing that this would open the door for Mike Spano to get in and win it. With Spano’s vast organization of conservatives like the Yonkers firefighters it was essentially guaranteed. That someone was probably John Spencer. I’m afraid Mr. Calvi got played. Well played, Mr. Spencer. Well played.
But did Hugh Fox really get played by Spencer, or ??? Think about it. Anyone who would make a deal, as a County Conservative leader, with Adam Bradley could make a deal with anyone. Even Mike Spano. It’s a good possibility that Mr. Astorino got played.
I get your point, but it was probably a messenger of Spencer who got Carlo Calvi to petition. I don’t think Calvi would take advise from Spencer directly.
There is no doubt that Colety & Astorino are strapped in child seats while the likes of Spano, Cavallo, Spencer & Hugh Fox drive the car. With the Spanos sole control Yonkers, the DEMs know that the CE’s Office will follow. Paulin, Jenkins, Brodsky?? The only certainty is the REP party’s impotence.
Thank you Carlo! We couldn’t have done it without you.
Calvi.
Mike Spano’s new best friend. After all, they are family, aren’t they?
cavalo ind line is useless no one has won on that line in the last 2 elections conty or local bye bye doc……………….
Republican cannibals have done their job. In a time of unprecedented opportunity, the Yonkers Republican Party, like a pack of rabid crazed monkeys has managed to eat its young and turn on itself. The former alpha males, John Spencer, Angelo Martinelli, Phil Amicone, and Carlo Calvi caught the disease that caused them to cast out the first of the rabid alpha males, Nick Spano. The disease is delusions of grandeur coupled with a desire for absolute unwavering obedience from all around them. Spencer and his lap dog Liam along with the oldest former alpha Angelo brought out the reluctant son Richie only to watch him devoured first in the Rep. convention and then in the Rep primary and finally standing idly as his bones were picked clean in the con. primary. The Martinelli, Murtagh and Calvi camps, like angry monkeys hurled feces at each other in the hopes of intimidating and fouling their opponents. The feces splattered and stuck to every part of the cave. As the hurling ended, all that was left were tired and spent chimps, covered in filth with no energy or ability to fight off the nurtured and protected predator that waits just outside the cave. Full of energy and chomping at the bit, ready to devour the hapless remaining monkeys sits Mike Spano. He, the young pampered soon to be alpha dog, fed the milk of union money and personnel, brought tender meat in the form of the Dem line by his feral outcast brother and finally, shown the direction to the cave by his loathsome pack of bedraggled brethren, he waits with sharpened teeth. .Such is the wild kingdom of Yonkers Politics, where the monkeys have never evolved. They play in the trees, anger each other, fight needlessly and remain an easy meal for the dogs. Time for the few scattered remaining simians to evolve and learn to use tools. Failure to adapt means extinction
good job mike. stay on the high road like you did in the primary. dont let some haters on this provoke you to join them in the gutter. yks voters deserve an issue oriented campaign not hate!!!
I agree – crazy that Mike won the con primary. sure wome will still cry but fact remains the democratic process works
It is funny that the Spano “party line” is that anyone not with them is a “hater.”
Well, yes, I HATE corruption, and everything that Nick Spano stands for. He is a corrupt fraud who will bring a patronage mill to Yonkers that Mike will be unable to control.
No matter what Mikes intentions may be, this will be Nicks city, not Mikes, and we are already seeing it with the control of the union bosses.
So I am not a “Hater,” I am a REALIST.
There is a post above that talks about monkeys. Well the only monkey is the monkey on the back of Mike Spano, and that is his brother Nick.
Tick Tock. Tick Tock. Do you hear the clock ticking, Mike and Nicky?
A knock at the door at 4am. It’s all over.
Poster #51 is absolutely right in his observations. And, one needs only to remember Gail Burns, former chair of the Westchester Conservative Party, and Steve Levy, each of whom held six-figure, taxpayer funded, no-show “jobs” in Mike’s office as recently as a couple of years ago, to understand the recent Conservative Party developments, and what we can expect from ‘little brother’ as long as Nick survives.
As far as Poster #52: From your mouth to GOD’S ears!
Poor Astorino. He needs to keep Fox in his stable to get the conservative line in 2013, but doesn’t know if slick Hughie is actually in bed with the Spanos and Ken Jenkins. He says no, but recent developments say maybe yes?
He’s charming, funny, always ready with a good story and a backslap. And a convincing actor. He’s learned the art of deception well. He’s had to to survive politically. Yonkers politics does that to unscrupulous people. As a previous poster stated, any conservative county leader who would make a deal and work for a socialist liberal like Adam Bradley (“Hey Rob, I just needed a job. You know how it is”) will make a deal with anyone. Think about it. That single incident should be very telling as to the true character of a someone like Fox. His type is always looking to be the kingmakers, no matter the politics. He’s the “Look what I did! Look how smart I am!” guy. Ego, power and access. Dangerous combination.
Rob’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. What to do with Barabbas. And Barrabas hears everything from the inside either first or second hand. But who is his Pontius Pilate?
Politics is an art form in Yonkers, and. Astorino has shown that is no Picasso. But no one around him will tell the king that he has no clothes.
Astorino will probably close his eyes and hope for the best. The problem is, when he opens them, someone else might be sitting on the king’s throne.
And Barabbas? He will be handsomely rewarded and set free. After all, what did Rob expect?
Hey. Now there are two traitors in the republican party. Mike Spano and Carlo Calvi. lol.
And my guess is that they are both playing on the same team.
now soon cavalo will be in there club.wonder what mike pays for the line????wonder what cavalo wants in shitty haul????
The idiot above doesnt realize that calvi is still on the line and only had 3 days to decline. IDIOT
Al Pirro. Nick Spano. Patricia Lynch Associates.
Mike Spano. Zehy Jereis. The Garden City Hotel Republican State Convention.
Bruce Bender. Sandy Annabi. Ridge Hill.
Michael Garcia. Preet Bharara. US Attorney’s Office.
Rob Astorino, Hugh Fox, Unemployment….
The Spano’s may have been down, but never count them out.
Good old fashioned politics notwithstanding, the Spano Mob has engaged in so much documented ELECTION FRAUD under both Jeanine Pirro and Janet DiFiore, and thus far gotten away with it, that failure to indict them is a compelling commentary on the U.S Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. They have a mountain of evidence and yet remain silent in Westchester.
There is much more that needs to be said, and will be said, even as they permit statutes of limitation to run out. The attorneys on the federal payroll ought to get off their asses and start earning their high wages by actually remembering the reason for a Public Integrity Unit, instead of unconstitutionally suborning perjury in co-conspiracy with perpetrators, used as prosecution witnesses as they did against Paul Cote.
Wake up folks, they are trashing our Constitutional Democracy as they install a police state where all of the power resides with the prosecutors, and little, if any, with the courts, what few uncorrupted courts are left.
Hello, hello, Ron Gardella, Dan Stein, Boyd Johnson, Perry Carbone, etc., are you really in there! Are you doing anything with all of the information you’ve gathered about the outrageouis PUBLIC INTEGRITY ISSUES AND CRIMES, in Westchester County, not to mention all of the innocent targets of opportunity languishing in state and, yes, federal prisons? Or are you just going after the low hanging fruit; real low, like four guys from Newburgh with a combined IQ of 300; defendants Judge McMahon felt the need to apologiize for, and to.
Stop wasting our hopes and beliefs that you guys were a cut above the malicious slime in the DA’s Office, not to mention our hard-earned tax dollars. There’s no justification for what you’ve done, nor what you haven’t done.
The funny thing is that when indictments are delivered in the Westchester investigation, A. Truman will take credit for it. And he’s such a sharp attorney. He went to law school when he was 50 and then worked his only real job in a law firm for a few months before they fired him. Some guys just don’t get it.
Whomever poster #62 is he is certainly entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts. He ought to get his facts straight to begin with; and then save his speculation which mostly reflect his olwn predisposition.
Are those statements wrong, A.Truman? Weren’t you a bust as an attorney (and just about everything else you’ve done in life.) Even Zherka realized eventually what a loser you were.
You know what the say about the truth. It hurts.
You are bitter because you got caught red-handed spreading defamatory lies against the opponent of one of your paying clients while pretending to be offering unbiased, unvarnished political opinions to cable viewers. It is you who was discharged from your pulpit, not I.
The simple fact is you are trying to pull on me what you pulled on Sheriff Smith. In any event you are washed up, publicly embarassed, and without credibility. It is you who had to publicly apologize for lying. You need to get a life.
Another lie… but it is you, sir, who should publicly apologize
for your fraudulent misrepresentation of the facts.
Edelman is an F x 3!
I’d rather not characterize him, and his compulsive scrawlings, other than to say it is a shame that he shows such disrespect for the blogsite that he must constantly engage in personal attacks by way of defending the wrongdoers with whom he has had longstanding associations and business dealings. And, it’s not as though he is incapable of contributing productive observations from time to time irrespective of the viewpoints expressed.
Mike Edelman is a washed up liar.
Looks like time for a new subject.
Perhaps, instead of dwelling on who is, or is not, a “washed up liar” it might be more instructive and encouraging to stop and take note of what Jenkins, LaFayette, and Company have decided to do about Virginia Perez’ decisive primary victory over Jose Alvarado. The fundraising event they have gotten behind for Virginia certainly suggests that they have rightly decided, “If you can’t beat her, better join her!”
And, I, for one, say AMEN to that.
I have not seem much activity on this site lately, but would like to bring up a subject and see if anybody cares to comment on it. Does anybody have anything interesting to share about Chuck Lesnick’s role as vice president of Bronx Parking Development Inc., an organization that is currently trying to float the idea of a hotel at Yankee Stadium as a way of softening the economic fallout from estab lishing a failed, expensive parking facility at the same/nearly the same location? At first I was not sure if this was the same Chuck, because I was unable to find any explicit mention of this role on his website or in the newspaper articles that discuss BPD, but some digging around on youtube confirmed that it is the same guy(I found a recent press conference about the new proposal for the site).
I am just curious to see if anybody knows more about this. Perhaps it has come up before, but I was unaware of it.
Surely you have something more to offer, Mr. Murphy
Knock, knock, anyone in there? Is anyone watching the store?
This blog is officially DOA.
UNLESS THE OWNER OF THIS BLOG IS IN THE HOSPITAL OR DIED, HE IS A TOTAL DISGRACE THAT FOR THE ENTIRE MAYORAL CAMPAIGN OF THE FOURTH LARGEST CITY IN NEW YORK STATE HE HAS NOT SEEN FIT TO WRiTE ONE SINGLE ARTICLE.
SPANO OBVIOUSLY PAID OFF HEZI, HOW MUCH DID HE PAY YOU?
oh well lol
I think he ODd at the Cheesecake Factory…
Does anyone know what happened to this site or what Murrphy has been up to? Is he doing ok?
It is now time to wake up Dan Murphy!!
Tomorrow morning BIG NICK SPANO will walk into Fedral Court and plead GUILTY to nearly a decade of state and federfal tax evasion. The last of the FOUR REPUBLICAN HORSEMEN OF THE STATE SENATE!
There was Guy Valella, Joe Bruno, Vinney Leibell, and finally Nick Spano. And, with any luck folks, little brother Mikie will soon be joining him. Mikie wasn’t shredding all those documents in his Assembly office for weeks for nothing you know.
Stay tuned. If the boys from the Public Integrity Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office really earn their pay there will be dozens of self-serving creatures from both sides of the aisle going down. Of course, it should include Nick’s good friend, former Republican, turned Democrat, bogus DA Janet DiFiore, who couldn’t stop thanking the “Spano Family” when their hoodlums helped her steal the election of 2005.
Hey Mike Edelman, how do you like me now?
