Independence Party Candidates ‘Encouraged’ to Collect Signatures for Castro
We have heard a few complaints from Democratic candidates who also have the Independence Party line throughout Westchester, about the arm twisting they are receiving from County Independence Chair Dr. Giulio Cavallo, strongly encouraging them to collect signatures for Tony Castro, Democratic candidate for district attorney.
Castro has the Ind line, thanks to Cavallo and Sam Zherka, but he also wants to run in a Dem primary against Janet DiFiore and needs to collect a few thousand signatures in order to get on the ballot.
Dr. C has made it known that all Dem candidates with the Ind line need to help Castro get on the ballot. This puts these Dem candidates in a bad situation because the leadership of the party, and the rank and file, have nominated DiFiore.
Also what right does Cavallo have in telling the Dem Party how to conduct their primaries?
Another fact that points to serious involvement by Dr. C and Sam Z in the political elections this year in Westchester.

Dr. Giulio Cavallo

it doesn’t matter…it is clear castro has no democratic
support if he has to go outside the dem party to collect
signatures..democrats who do that combined with their
own petitions have to be very careful..when challenge
time comes they may find themselves off the ballot…
but castro being in the primary is great for difiore
beause he will get about 25% of the vote which will
wipe him off the political map forever
If there are 25% of the voters that would support the puppet of the Strip Club Crowd for the position of District Attorney then this country has begun a decent into hell.
I am picking 25% as the top number…figuring there are
always 25% of the voters who vote against their own
party ..and getting 75% of the vote is not only a landslide
it is embarassing for the loser in a primary…but with the
information that will come out about castro he may have
to in fact withdraw
Let’s see if Lesnick screws DiFiore. Let’s see if he bows to Cavallo’s wishes. I say no.
How much printing work does Westchester Republican Party leader Douglas Colty do for Julio Cavalo’s Independant Party candidates? And does he do any printing work for democrat candidates supported by Cavalo? Can you look that up Rising Times? It would seem as though Cavalo holds alot of sway over Mr. Colty. I welcome your comments.
that would be the 64,000 question…
hey sammy…më tregoni që ju shkoni dhe me Do ta tregoj me çka ju jeni
For tony castro..the issue is about judgment…and credibility…how can any candidate for da justify the associations that castro now has..he is closely associated and receives and will receive support from sam zherka who admits he is under criminal investigation in manhattan for drug dealing and prostitution..and who, rather than simply hiring the best lawyer to defend him, has started numerous lawsuits accusing public and private officials of a conspiracy to get the manhattan da to specifically and without merit, target him…his allegations are so ludicrous that a federal judge has labeled them “at the very least misleading” castro knows about this stuff because he also associates and takes advice from the editor of the guardian richard blassberg, who has, among other things, accused a westchester police officer of point blank
murder of officer ridley, when in fact, the video and the statement of the only witness with a vantage point, states that no such thing ever occurred. mr castro also has
accepted funds and an endorsement
from julio cavalo. In fact the IND party held a fundraiser a while back for castro attended by cavalo and the republican leader doug colety…while castro accuses difiore of accepting endorsments from various pba’s
and the conservative party….how does he justify working with and accepting funds from the ind party chairman who the guardian newspaper in a front page august 16 2007 issue said “was corrupt”
